The Alfa Romeo stand at the upcoming Paris Motor Show will host two world premieres, the MiTo SBK Limited Edition 1.4 170 HP QV and the MiTo Superbike Special Series. As their name suggests, both models were created to celebrate the Italian brand's sponsorship of the Superbike championship.

First up is the MiTo SBK Limited Edition 1.4-liter 170PS QV of which only 200 examples will be built.

On the outside, buyers have a choice of two colors for the body, black or Alfa red, which can be matched to three roof and exterior mirror cap shades including black, Alfa red and the new Cristallo white, accentuated by a gray-colored decal that runs from the front grille to the C-pillar.

The special edition MiTo also gets an aero package and 18-inch titanium alloy rims with red Brembo brake calipers peaking from behind.

The interior of the car is said to include numerous accessories such as Sabelt seats with a wraparound carbon fibre backrest, Alcantara center sections, and red stitching, leather trim of the gear lever knob and steering wheel, and a numbered plaque on the dashboard.

The SBK edition is offered exclusively with Alfa's 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine rated at 168HP (170PS) that gets the car up to 100km/h (62mph) in just over 7 seconds, while returning a fuel consumption of 4.8 lt/100 km (49mpg US or 58.9mpg UK) and 139 g/km of CO2 in the extra-urban cycle.

The second MiTo edition model is the Superbike (SBK) Special Series that is available with all engines in the range excluding the 1.4-liter 69Hp (70PS) and 1.4-liter 168Hp (170PS) petrol units. This model offers some of the aesthetic features of the Limited Edition version and comes at a lower price.

On the outside, you will find 16-inch titanium alloy rims, chrome-plated spoiler and exhaust, mirror fairings in the shade of titanium, sporty rear bumper, black fog light frame and the new titanium "SBK" logo placed on the rear of the car.

Buyers have a choice of four body colors – black, Alfa red, Tornado blue and Cristallo white, combined with three roof shades – black, Alfa red and the brand-new Cristallo white.

Inside, there's an "SBK" logo on front head restraints and the black "carbon look" dashboard. Standard equipment includes manual climate control system, radio with CD/MP3 player and leather steering wheel.

Customers willing to spend some more money can customize the MiTo with the original SBK kit that includes some of the features of the Limited Edition version such as, the "SBK Limited Edition" sticker, side skirts, rear dam, racing pedal board, red brake calipers and 17" or 18″ titanium-finished alloy rims.
